Whether you are eating avocados or masking with avocados, they can help soften rough, dry skin, stimulate your skin's own natural production of oil and help your skin maintain its healthy and beautiful glow.
Also known as the alligator pear because of their shape and color, avocados contain an incredible high amount of essential vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants. The most important element of avocado in my opinion is that it is a great source of potassium, which is known as the youth mineral.
So let's get back to our youthful glow at home with this inexpensive DIY for #MaskMonday.
Be aware that this mask works best for when we are experiencing dry or dry to combination skin. This is not intended for use when our skin is oily.
1 soft ripe avocado mashed with 1 tbsp. of a honey of your choice (raw, natural, local, tupelo, wildflower, etc). If you have any of the following ingredients on hand, choose 1 or 2 and add a teaspoon to your mixture or use as already prepared.
Kukui Nut Oil
Rosehip Seed Oil
Sea Buckthorn Oil
Sweet Almond Oil
Frankincense Essential Oil 1/2 tsp
Directions for Use:
Following your normal cleansing routine, splash face with warm water to help pores stay open. Spread fresh prepared Avocado mask all over face and neck. Avoid eyes. If you want to get fancy, add some cooled chamomile tea bags to your eyes or the classic cucumbers. Relax for 15-20 minutes, Rinse with warm water, then splash face with cold water. Moisturize as usual.
